 Maggie Cordilia Abbott, age 91, of Alpharetta, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. Maggie liked to spend her time putting puzzles together, doing word search and working crossword puzzles. She was also a great cook. Maggie is preceded in death by her husband, Eulon Abbott; sons, Baby Abbott, Kimsey Abbot and his wife Jolene; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Harry Burns; five sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Harold Palmour of Canton; grandchildren, Eulon (Penny) Burns, Lisa (Larry) Holland, Chuck (Candi) Palmour, Allen Burns, James Abbott, John Palmour, Kimberly (Frank) Ross, Terri Palmour; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Annie Mae Elrod of Dawsonville and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Faye Gooch Babb, age 76, of Hartwell, GA passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Gooch was born in Dahlonega, GA July 2, 1936. She had lived in Hartwell, GA for the past twelve years and was a former longtime resident of Morrow, GA. She was retired from Bell South and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hartwell, GA.

Faye was the daughter of the late Garland and Lela Holtzclaw Gooch and was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Gooch.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Babb, Hartwell, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Candice and Tommy Atkinson, Royston, GA, Charis and Ronnie Ard, Royston, GA; sisters, Mildred Schaide, Dawsonville, GA, Lana Thompson, Cumming, GA, Janet Smith, Douglasville, GA, and Debbie Chumbler, Cumming, GA; brothers, Delton Gooch, Jasper, GA, Horace Gooch, Russell Gooch, Dale Gooch, and Greg Gooch, all of Cumming, GA. 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives also survive.

A private family graveside service was held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County with Rev. Matt Cawthan officiating.
