Brooke Nolan is fulfilling a lifelong ambition at Snazzy Rags Boutique, 201 Glen Milner Blvd. in Rome.

Nolan said that she has wanted to run a women’s boutique since she graduated from college.

“The time just wasn’t right,” Nolan said. “I told the previous owner that if she ever wanted to sell the store, to please keep me in mind,” Nolan said.

Kristie Spears ran the business from 1992 through early 2009, however the shop had been closed for almost a year and half before Nolan got the call she had been waiting for.

“This is what I’ve always wanted to do,” Nolan said.

Nolan acquired the specialty women’s clothing boutique in the fall of 2010.

When she re-opened Snazzy Rags on Nov. 2, 2010, she also began selling limited lines of children’s clothing as well.

Snazzy Rags sells a wide variety of famous name merchandise including Judith March, Miss Me, Jade and Ivy Jane.

In addition to clothing, Nolan offers a wide array of accessories including jewelry, handbags and shoes.

In addition to the loyal customer base that was built up over the last two decades, Snazzy Rags has been successful in reaching out to customers on the Internet.

Snazzy Rags is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
