Gold Creek is set for a September Foreclosure

By A.J. Puckett

The piece of property known as Gold Creek will go into foreclosure in September. Regions Bank will be foreclosing on property because of back payments owed against the contract and has remained unpaid.

The Security Deed is now available for foreclosure and the Premises will be sold at public outcry pursuant to the terms of the power of sale provided in the Security Deed. The Deed will be given to the highest bidder for cash between the legal hours for sale before the Courthouse door in Dawson County on the first Tuesday in September.

The pieces of land being sold include the buildings on the property, the golf course, some land and a few lots.

The original loan granted to create Gold Creek was $4.85 million and was raised to $5.02 million after the Second Amendment to the Real Estate Note.

The revenue generated from the sales of the property will go towards paying of the cost of the sale and any additional money owed on the original Security Debt and because the piece of property is being sold as though it is still the property of the owners it will still be held to any ad valorem taxes owed on the property.

The premises will be sold 'as, is' without recourse against the lender.
